About museum Mannequins

Museum Mannequins are a unique system of display mannequins for galleries and exhibitions which have been in production in Australia for eight years.

Museum Mannequins are made from polyethylene coated galvanised steel wire which is inert and conservationally sound.

They have interchangeable component parts (body, legs, arms, heads, shoulders only, swimming costume, 1850 skirt, 1900 skirt and many others).

Clients of Museum Mannequins include the National Gallery of Australia, The National Archive, the Historic Houses Trust of New South Wales, the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney and over 20 other institutions around Australia and overseas.

Museum Mannequins have also created sculptural pieces such as dogs, cats and elephants due to the unique adaptability of the wire which is used.
